Shivanasamudra Falls, Somanathapura

Hello Visitor,

I would love to share my experience on one of our ride.

On 6 Sep 2020 we had planned & Executed a one day trip to places mentioned above in my title.

We were a group of 6 Lovely friends with 3 Beast Bikes. Our Journey started from Bangalore early in the morning πŸ•  5:30 AM. Before we started, all were on time at the journey starting spot, except me 😴. I am a kinda late lateef πŸ˜‘ in the group. Because, i dont like waking up early in the morning (its too boring you knowπŸ˜‰), it makes sense to be on time and i have noted it for my next journeys.

Our first Destination was Obviously a Beautiful place called Shivanasamudra Falls. Before we reached our first destination, we had to stop for Breakfast πŸ˜‹ & Tea 🍡 at Ramanagara, which is very important to be energetic the whole day to enjoy the amazing natural beauties. Our second stop was at surprisingly blissful place, Kemadoddi. It was totally a full of greenery feel to our eyes. Couldn't stop myself from clicking some Pics.

After 4 long hours of Bike drive, we finally reached our first destination Shivanasamudra. It is a Gaganachukki falls which is famous amongst 2 falls in Shivanasamudra, another being a Barachukki Falls. The falls is a bliss to eyes. Gaganachukki is nothing but, a falls of Milk ❤. As its a COVID 19 Pandemic days, we were not allowed to access falls from the bottom 😭. But we still enjoyed the most out of it. Falls is surrounded with a astonishing Greenery. It feels absolutely soothing. As soon as we approached to falls, we got goosebumps all over the body πŸ’“. We do got a special warm welcome from Monkeys by the way.

                                                                  Gaganachukki Falls

Our next is a Barachukki falls, which is not far away from Gaganachukki falls. It is just dead opposite to Gaganachukki. We can find a Mosque from where we have a way to reach Barachukki falls by foot. We had to go through the rocky way πŸ˜‘. One has to be very cautious as the rocks are steep and slippery. When we were at Barachukki falls it was not flowing in its fullest capacity. Albeit, it almost felt like a magic to watch and feel it. Cold Water drizzles at us when we are nearer to the falls. We felt like we are in Heaven 😲. We forgot ourselves and started enjoying the ambience 😍 of falls.

                                                               Barachukki Falls

It was High time for some ancient architecture visuals & Its ChannaKeshava temple at Somanathapura. The temple was consecrated in 1258 CE by Somanatha Dandanayaka, a general of the Hoysala King Narashima III. The temple is on the banks of  River Kaveri ⼮. The ancient Architecture of Hoysala Kingdom is mind-blowing 😊. The stones are carved flawlessly and Beautifully. We could find the glimpses of the Hoysala Dynasty Architectural Richness and Engineering 🏠. I loved the Architecture & as i being an Engineer, could feel the proudness of such a Beauty and Engineering marvel πŸ˜ƒ.

                                                                   Somanathapura Temple

Once we completed all these sites, we started back our journey to our Huts in Bangalore with our body fully tired. It was time to say Bid Adeu to all my Lovely group members with full of joy and happiness πŸ˜‚. I would mandatorily suggest you to visit these places without miss.
